God is in the Transitions and a BIG Announcement about Redemption Press

If you have read our new book release Together for a Purpose you are aware of the transition we find ourselves in as roles and responsibilities are changing for my pastor hubby. At the same time, another full circle provides legacy and security for authors and team members at Redemption Press.

Over the past year Ross has lead a successful church merger with the intent of ensuring the flock was well cared for no matter what the future would hold as he embarks on his 76th birthday next month.

I too, pondered my own legacy as I inch toward the 70-year-old mark. I realize it is time to follow suit and bring others into partnership at Redemption Press. My first Publishing house, WinePress, fell into the wrong hands, and I didn’t want to take any chances this time around.

In the last few years I have worked closely with Shelly and Carol and they have become an integral part of the workings of Redemption Press. Thinking towards the future, I knew I could trust them to care well for my authors and team should anything happen to me. In the meantime, since the three of us work so effectively together, I will continue serving as publisher without any plans of slowing down! It has been an absolute joy to watch God orchestrate this latest move!

Transitions each have their own distinct emotions for the one who is experiencing the change. For me, this exciting journey to bring a secure future to Redemption Press has been a good passage. But for Ross, his transition has been a complete shift in his normal routine.

Dictionary.com defines transition as a “movement, passage, or change from one position, state, stage, subject, concept, etc., to another; with synonyms like shift, transformation, turning point.

What in your life has brought change to this new year? Has your experience rocked your world or has it been well thought out and planned?

Whatever your experience we have the promise that God is with us and He is the One who remains our constant during these shifts in life. “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.” Hebrews 13:8

I marvel at the way God is walking my hubby through the severe change in his professional and ministry life while asking God to help me walk a similar path with wisdom and strength. Ross said to me just the other night, “God is in the transitions.”

May that simple statement bring you encouragement when life begins to shift. Remember, God is not only in the transition but He is in you as His Spirit guides you to walk out your life with the legacy you will lead.

This week we officially announced the expansion of the Redemption Press ownership team, so I wanted to share the press release that announced the great news.

Thank you for spending time with me. I’d love to hear how God is using your transitions to prepare you for your future.

Athena Dean Holtz
Welcome, I'm Athena!

I start each day by tithing the first hour to the Lord in prayer, reading the word, doing word studies of the Text, and asking God how I can live out what I am reading. This time is usually met with meditation on devotionals that are usually written by dead guys like Oswald Chambers, CS Lewis, Charles Spurgeon, AW Tozer, and Andrew Murray.

Right now, I’m reading a daily devotional with a friend called Tozer on the Almighty God for my focus for the day. It's fun to see individually what pulls us in to spur one another on to good deeds!

The Bible is filled with action steps to walk out in practical and intentional ways. This sets my day in motion to walk it out! I hope this is your heart, too.

Consider this a personal invitation to join me in this journey!
